“Ciriè” Orcia Rosso DOC 2013
The Sangiovese and Merlot grapes are harvested and fermented seperately. The Sangiovese satys in big oak barrels, while the Merlot is aged in steel tanks and for a short period in french barriques. Combined the stay for another 6 months in the bottle before beeing sold.
Deep colour, a mix of fresh and ripe red fruits in the nose with a hint of wood. On the palate very round and well balanced.
REd meat dishes or spicy vegetarian meals like Melanzane alla Parmigiana.
